Non-Domestic RHI
Non Domestic RHI
This scheme is aimed at industrial, commercial, public sector and non-profit organisations. This includes small businesses, hospitals and schools as well as district heating schemes which serve a number of domestic properties.
The scheme will pay you for each kilo watt hour (kWh) of energy which is produced by eligible technologies. The Non-Domestic RHI Scheme will make quarterly payments for 20 years to scheme participants that generate and use renewable energy. Ofgem have the current Non-Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive Tariffs published on their website together with some useful factsheets.
Ofgem has a full list of eligibility criteria together with details of eligible technologies. This also provides details of the specific uses of heat which are covered by the scheme and excluded heat uses (including wood fuel drying, waste drying or processing and domestic swimming pools on non-domestic properties).
As part of the initial assessment Greenheat Renewables Ltd can provide advice on eligible technologies and run forecasts to estimate the level of RHI payments which may be generated, based upon various assumptions. We can use this information to provide you with estimate of the payback period for the renewable system.
Full information on the Non-Domestic Scheme and the current tariffs is available on the Ofgem website.
